Little did Caitlyn Miller and Kevin Sanderson know that going to a business networking event would change their lives. In April 2010, each went to an after-hours meeting of the Young Professionals Group at the Ringling Museum of Art and they returned there for their first date.
Caitlyn was rather impressed with Kevin when he was asked, very early on in their relationship, to be a board member of KAETA (Kids and Elders Through Arts), started by members of the Sarasota Orchestra.
How did Caitlyn know Kevin was a keeper? When he took time out of his Monday night to go to SCF and see Caitlyn’s 15-year-old mentee perform with the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra.
Caitlyn works at Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida. Kevin works at Merritt & Sanderson, P.A.
After two-and-a-half years together, Kevin proposed on Caitlyn’s birthday in early October. We’re excited to share our wedding with the Sarasota Pops and think it will be a memorable adventure!
Our concert on October 28, 2012 will be poignant for the couple as the Church of the Palms held Caitlyn’s father’s funeral in 2000.

Congratulations to Kevin and Caitlyn! They are a wonderful couple and we wish them the best.
Congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy life together!
Just had to broadcast my love for both of you and to tell
everyone how proud and happy I am to be a part of your life!
Thank you to all of you who have congratulated us on our engagement earlier this month. On top of everything else, we feel lucky to be a part of The Sarasota Pops Orchestra’s season long wedding celebration this year. We were one of four couples selected to win a wedding package from the Sarasota Pops Orchestra! Each couple is being celebrated with a concert in their honor during the season. They will be playing the song we requested and we will dance to the delight of the audience (hopefully). We’ll dance to I’m Beginning To See The Light by Ella Fitzgerald!
The concert is this Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 3pm at the Church of the Palms in Sarasota. We have many friends and family attending and wanted to invite everyone to join us. The Sarasota Pops Orchestra charge only $20 for their concert tickets. We recognize it is short notice. As you can imagine, this month has been very busy. We agreed to change our concert date from spring 2013 to this month on very short notice to accommodate the schedules of the other three winning couples.
